Joeys Room

The Joeys room educators care for children varying from 2 years to 2 years and 10 months and provide a ratio of 1 educator to 5 children.

24 to 34 months is such a busy and important time in a child’s life. They are learning all about language and experimenting with self-identity. We believe in supporting the children through this time by giving children the space to create, explore, and experiment in a safe, secure and supportive space.

We are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment where children and families are encouraged to be actively involved within the program to ensure learning experiences are meaningful and reflective of the children’s interests.

Each term, we run an overall group program along with an individual program that is specific to each child based on their interests, strengths, and abilities.

We have an open, inviting space that caters for up to 15 children, and share an outdoor yard with the Possums room. The outdoor environment consists of a shady mud-pit area, a large sandpit surrounded by a bike track, and a small vegetable patch that is cared for and maintained with the help of the children.
