Management Comittee

The Management Committee is the highest authority in the organisation. The committee provides leadership and overall strategy for the organisation as well as assuring everyone that the organisation’s finances are viable, it’s operations legal and it’s procedures work.

The Management Committee is the governing body of the child care centre responsible for the effective running and management of the organisation.

The Management Committee comprises a maximum of 15 members:

Executive Management Committee Members:

  • Chairperson
  • Vice Chairperson
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • up to four general Committee members

Non- Executive Management Committee Members:

  • Nominated Supervisor/ Director of Loxton District Children’s Centre
  • Assistant Director/s of Loxton District Children’s Centre
  • Nominated Supervisor/ Director of Loxton District Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)
  • Assistant Director/s of Loxton District Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)
  • Staff Representative
  • Staff Support Officer

Management Committee members are elected for a 2 year period of office.

The Management Committee has overall and ultimate responsibility for everything that happens with the centre. Being a committee member carries the expectation of attending meetings regularly, being actively involved in decision making, tabling reports, maintaining confidentiality and accepting legal responsibilities.
